WHAT ARE YOU ASSUMING?
Let's talk on assumptions today.
So it gets to that point in life where you become a mini celebrity and everyone seems to know a thing or two about you . At first, it seems like a good thing; the sense of being popular and being the talk of the town. Your news begins to spread like wildfire and you begin observe everyone's conscious and subconscious attitude towards you. When its a positive disposition, you feel really good even though you're uncertain on why this is.
It's feels the opposite way when people's dispositions depict nothing but hatred, jealousy, disgust,etc. , then you begin to ask yourself some questions, you become more interested in the 'why' ,not having a clue where you went wrong.
There is always that point where you get in the bad book of people. You become the talk of the town based on what they think they know.
It's so funny how people conclude on the truth based on mere assumptions . What is assumption? According to the dictionary, assumption is an act act of assuming; supposing a thing without a proof.
It's quite alarming the rate at which people partially neglect their lives and focus solely on another. The society has managed to create a chain of assumption and this has in a way been inculcated into the minds of the people. For instance, a young man driving a car in his 20s is automatically into a shady business or internet fraud; a (young) man who has many female friends is automatically a play boy; a rich man who divorces his wife automatically becomes a ritualist; a woman who exposes little parts of her body automatically becomes promiscuous; a lady who covers up well becomes a saint... I can go on and on.
It's pretty amazing how far this assumptions can go.
Faces differ the same way people differ, everyone can't be the same, the fact that you keep multiple female friends doesn't make it impossible to stay true to a girl; the fact that a rich man divorces his wife doesn't make him a ritualist,as far as I am concern, 'it could other issues I seriously don't care to know; the fact that a lady doesn't like to be uptight dress-wise doesn't make her promiscuous, she doesn't just feel free being enclosed fully, she love fresh air.
People tend to limit their minds to the norms at which the society has created for them. It has therefore become a convention. Everyone thinks towards the same pattern,which is wrong. What happened to thinking outside the box? What happened to that other aspect of the story which could be very true?
It's so amazing how homes have collapsed, relationships broken, trust crushed ,and bonds broken all in the name of assuming (assumption)
Truth be told, this has become a norm and it has come to stay.
While it can be said to be human to assume things, it's very wrong to make a conclusion out of mere assumptions. If the matter is of utmost importance to you, why don't you get your facts right first or rather just focus on your life and that's of your family and simply mind your business.
