When You Wake Up!
Catchy right?
So you finally get home after a long day at work, you take a nice cold bath, after which you have a light meal, then you retire to the comfort of your bed only to fall fast asleep in seconds due to excessive fatigue. The rest remains in dream world.
From the illustration made above, it's only logical that for a person to wake up, s/he must have been fast asleep. However now that you have woken up, what's next ?
I once read a photo caption which says "sometimes it's hard to find motivation and other times, motivation finds you instead".
Many at times we tread through paths that seem really cool and cozy. At this point we feel that we have evolved in a way - We feel different being that we have forsaken a lot of things . We have channeled our attention and energy to these new activities we find dangerously interesting . We find ourselves in a position where we are exploring this new world and everything seem different. It seems fun at first but on the long run we feel incomplete, we feel indifferent, we feel like a lone soul treading in another man's land, we feel like we are living in a world which isn't ours. We feel a vacuum - a space left unfilled.
For the lucky ones it doesn't get too long before they realise they don't belong on that path and for the unlucky ones, they simply get intoxicated and they either end up meeting their end or they simply lead miserable lives. It becomes too late to retrace their path.
Where then does the motivation come in?
At times we unconsciously create motivation , other times it happens naturally, like a miracle, just like the Big Man up there knew exactly what we needed.
When motivation comes : You become enlightened to the things you haven't been doing. You come to that stage where you realise that what you have *left undone has in a way left you undone .* How backward it has pushed you and the massive space left ahead for you to cover. We realize we have been living in the shadow of our hallucinations, a mere fantasy that we have made out of the real world.
*Motivation begins with a discovery*, *Discovery then leads to a decision*,a strategy to meet up, not with haste but with brains. Slow and steady they say wins the race.
When you wake up - it's like a dream, a reconnection to reality, an enlightenment, 'a wake up call' . The bad aspect of it is that you find yourself where it all began, at the same spot. At this point, we scrutinize; We do a critical analysis on ourselves.
In summary, let's interrogate ourselves; Are we asleep in our world and awake in another man's world ? Or, Are we sleep walking, sleep talking, sleep acting ,hallucinating, lost in a world that deteriorates our moral standards?
*#seeing beyond the normal*
*Awake!!*
